September 27, 2021

Morgan Diolot was born in Paris and spent her childhood between France and the US. In 1995 she left France, settling in San Diego and LA before moving to London in 2018 – a fresh start in a new city.

What themes are you seeing in luxury travel?

My clients want luxury without the palace feel. We are seeing a rise in glamping, sustainable, and eco-friendly properties. Clients want to feel secure and have excellent service while feeling that they are home. They want to experience the authenticity of a destination.

Cronulla Lodge, Perisher Valley NSW, Australia

What is luxury to you?

Freedom is the highest luxury in my book — the freedom to explore the world. As clichéd as this might sound, I value the freedom I get from travelling. I value the experiences both in culture and the people I meet. I’m passionate about travel so I really value my work and all it has brought me.

Rhodes, Greece

How do your clients’ needs differ?

For some clients it’s about culinary experiences, others it’s about the trendiest hotel, and for some it’s the road less travelled. I have an array of clients who want different experiences. Most clients stay within what they know and are loyal to destinations and hotels. For others it’s all about discovering new places.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

What has working in luxury travel taught you?

Luxury travel has taught me how to anticipate and achieve my clients’ expectations.
